Laura Jeffries Joins RMPEx Board to Drive Organizational Excellence

Laura Jeffries, the Chief Administrative Officer at Donor Alliance, has joined the 2024 Board of Directors for Rocky Mountain Performance Excellence (RMPEx), a nonprofit dedicated to helping organizations improve performance and achieve outstanding results. As one of the 10 members on the board, Jeffries brings a wealth of experience to the table.
RMPEx focuses on helping organizations thrive through the effective use of the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence, a framework established by Congress and President Ronald Reagan. It’s the regional chapter of the national Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, one of the most respected programs for organizational performance improvement.
With more than 20 years of experience in human resources, Jeffries played a key role in helping Donor Alliance create a culture of high engagement that ultimately led the organization to win the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in 2018. Her expertise in organizational development continues to make a significant impact, both at Donor Alliance and now at RMPEx.

Jennifer Muriett Appointed OPTN Board Secretary

Jennifer Muriett, Chief Operating Officer at Donor Alliance, has been appointed Board Secretary of the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) for the 2024-2026 term. This role perfectly aligns with Jennifer’s wealth of experience and her unwavering dedication to saving and healing lives. As a member of the Executive Committee, she is helping to shape national organ allocation policies and strengthen the U.S. donation and transplantation system.
With more than 26 years of experience in donation and transplantation, along with her early background in critical care nursing, Jennifer has made it her life’s work to improve patient outcomes and increase access to lifesaving transplants. Her leadership at Donor Alliance has already had a major impact on organ and tissue donation across Colorado and Wyoming, and now, in her new role at OPTN, she’s amplifying those efforts on a national level.
Jennifer’s focus at OPTN will be ensuring that the donation and transplantation system remains equitable, effective, and centered on the needs of both donors and recipients

Donor Services Manager, Serena Altamirano’s passion for helping others is truly inspiring. As the Donor Services Manager with Donor Alliance, she’s a dedicated advocate for donor families and a key force in raising awareness across diverse communities in the Rocky Mountain region. Serena leads a team of donor family support coordinators, offering compassion and guidance as families honor their loved ones’ decisions to give the lifesaving gift of tissue donation.
